I specialise in creating custom paintings that capture your mementoes.
The process begins with a consultation where we discuss your preferences, colour scheme, and other details to create a personalised piece of art that reflects your personality and style. Pictures, paint swatches, fabrics, furniture, rugs, window treatments, flooring, accessories and metallic finishes can all be used to inform the direction of the painting.
To make the painting even more unique and special (but not at all required), you are invited to provide meaningful items such as sand from a favourite beach, soil from a plot of land, or sawdust from a meaningful place to be used as texture in your painting.
From there, high-quality paints and materials will be used to create a stunning painting that will last for years.
THE PROCESS
The creation of my projects involves addition materials such as paper, sand, and fabrics, and the continuous layering of paint, which forms the foundation of all my work. The application and manipulation of materials like marble dust, plaster, cement, and paint over time create 3D relief effects, bringing sculptures, depth, and texture to life. These elements produce shadows that contrast with metallic and colour accents.
The fundamental components of each piece are designed using a variety of unconventional tools, both handmade and improvised, with final touches added through my signature creation techniques. All my works are original, handmade, and one-of-a-kind, created in my London studio using hand-stretched cotton canvases on wooden frames.
Each painting takes between two weeks and a month to complete, depending on the inspiration, the concept, and the workload.
