Euphoria of the Almost speaks of the moment just before two souls find each other.
The two works are separate, yet a continuous line runs through both, like an invisible thread keeping them connected. Two presences still apart, not yet having met, yet somehow already seeming to belong to one another.
I am fascinated by that suspended moment of anticipation when you don’t yet know what will happen, but you can feel that something is about to change.
The “almost” is not necessarily a lack. Perhaps it is where a particular kind of euphoria lives in desire, in anticipation, in the feeling of being on the threshold of something unknown.
The irregularities of the surface and the small pieces of bark interrupt the perfection of the forms, reminding us that every encounter carries something unexpected.
I chose gold to give value to this suspended moment that small space between not knowing one another yet and the moment when two worlds finally meet.
Perhaps it is precisely in the “almost”, when everything is still possible, that something becomes truly precious.
