Inspiration:
With this painting, I aim to suggest a city that emerges and disappears within the mist, with vertical forms reminiscent of skyscrapers glimpsed through fog or rain. The darker tones in the lower section evoke the depth of the streets and the energy of the metropolis, while the whites and blues in the upper part recall the light filtering between buildings and the urban sky. The rust-coloured accents evoke metal surfaces weathered by time, elements typical of a great city like New York. This composition is meant to convey an impression that is more emotional than realistic, as though New York had already been visited and is now being remembered.
