Inspiration:
In this painting, called “November” the cool colours of winter seem to sweep across the surface like an icy wind, while the grainy sand I embedded into the material, for me, a symbol of summer becomes a tactile and sensory memory, as though the warm season continues to speak through what remains, even when everything appears dormant.
It is a blend of opposites: cold and warmth, the stillness of winter and the vivid echo of summer.Opposites and parallels, like the two lines that emerge as they traverse the piece. I like to think of them as life paths, separate, moving in similar directions without ever fully converging. Two parallel essences flowing side by side, subtly brushing against one another, each attuned to the presence of the other.
They never touch, yet they accompany; they never cross, yet they influence. A delicate symbiosis, made of quiet resonances, where winter shapes and summer remembers.
Two destinies distinctly separate, yet intimately connected.
